Now we move onto c/n 94076 A21-12, VH-AMI. As usual disposed of in Mar 1945, sold to C.A. Fox, Perth WA. After going through several owners (as usual), it was at one stage re-registered as VH-DDG and again in 1955 as VH-THT. A photo taken in 1946 shows it still in wartime camouflage with White rego VH-AMI as below.

Next is c/n DHP19 A21-40, originally VH-AXB later VH-BXB. Disposed of in Mar 1947 to J.H.Alessio, Melbourne Vic, it was originally registered as VH-AXB but in a cleanup opf the Australian civil register in 1948 to avoid conflict with radio call signs used by the RAAF, it was changed to VH-BXB. In a photo on Geoff Goodall's website dated Dec 1961 it has a dark coloured fuselage but not noted anywhere as to the actual colour (I have guessed Red but other colours are clearly possible). It was wrecked in 1966 after being blown on it's back in a storm . The remains were later collected by the Moorabbin Air Museum.

This John Hopton image shows it derelict at Moorabbin. The fuselage was eventually destroyed after it deteriorated in the weather and was later burnt., the wings stored in a garage were eventually used in the rebuild of VH-ACS.
Next is c/n 94070 A21-10, VH-AHJ later VH-KHJ. As usual disposal was in Mar 1945. Originally it was registered as VH-AHJ. By Dec 1965 it was owned by K. H. Jenkin, Cobram Vic, who had it registed as VH-KHJ. Feb 1966 it was noted as being White and Blue with a sharkmouth as per below. In 1967 it was painted 'Silver' with Red trim. In 1970 it was withdrawn from service and parts used in the rebuild of VH-AIB. Note - some of the dates in photo captions do not line up with the text (confusing).

As mentioned above VH-AMI was re-registered as VH-TNT in 1955. It is currently in the AHMWA Museum at Bull Creek, painted in a 'Cream' colour with Black markings and fitted with a small non standard spinner.

This is part 3 of a 3 part series. Major references and acknowledgements are as follows:
The major reference is Geoff Goodall's page at 'https://www.goodall.com.au/australian-aviation/dh94/dh94mothminor.htm'. This lists every RAAF serial, owner, change of rego etc with dates and other detail such as colour schemes with many photos. Highly recommended.
Another major source is Eddie Coates' website at https://www.edcoatescollection.com/ which has comprehensive info on Australian civil airframes. You have to access each rego's page separately from his main index.
I would like to thank Alan Flett for the assistance he has given to me to do this series. In addition Alan Flett and Dave Welsh have given permission to use images that they hold copyright on.
