In 128 pages, the author covers the design/development/production of the G.55, the post-war G.55A/B and the RR Merlin powered G.59, then leading to descriptions of service with the Regia Aeronautica, ANR, Luftwaffe, Aeronautica Militare, FAA, REAF and SAF. The next chapter covers camo'/markings of the various operators complete with 21 pages of colour artwork, while chapter four is a technical description of the type illustrated by excerpts from period manuals. The book is completed with a 28 page chapter consisting of very detailed walk-around photo's in colour of a museum replica.
