A20-57 of 22 Squadron following wheels-up landing at Richmond on 18 July 1940.

Profile of A20-57 in Foliage Green/ Earth Brown with Aluminium doped lower sufaces with 'A' type roundels in four positions, 'B' type above wings (note no fin flash at this early stage). The airframe is armed with 2 forward firing guns. Being a CA-3 production airframe, the corrugated vertical fin is no longer carried on this and later airframes shown. Fuselage serials and code 'S' in Med Sea Grey. Black serials under both wings (omitted for clarity).

A20-86 GA-O 21 Sqn RAAF Malaya. When 21 Sqn went to Malaya in 1940 they still were equipped with Wirraways, replaced in Aug 1941 by Brewster Buffaloes.

Profile of A20-86 in Foliage Green/ Earth Brown with Aluminium doped lower sufaces. 'A1' type roundels on fuselage, 'B' type above wings and I believe 'A' type below the wings. (note 3 coloured fin flashes carried). The airframe is armed with 2 forward firing guns. Fuselage serials and code 'GA-O' in Med Sea Grey. Black serials likely under both wings (omitted for clarity).

When the 21 Sqn Wirraways were replaced in Aug 1941 by Brewster Buffaloes, six of them were retained in Malaya and went to 'W' Flight. Photographed by the Japanese after the surrender it now has a siren fitted to the fuselage but retains it's GA-O codes.

A20-120 Most likely on 7-7-1942 north of the field while at 7 SFTS Deniliquin.

Profile of A20-120 in Foliage Green/ Earth Brown with Aluminium doped lower sufaces. 'A' type roundels on fuselage and below wings, and I believe likely Blue/Red upper wing roundels. (note 3 coloured fin flashes carried). Fuselage serials and code '120' in Med Sea Grey (code possibly Yellow). Black serials likely under both wings (omitted for clarity). Yellow cowling.

Still with 7 SFTS by the time of this image it has now gained 36" Yellow training bands around the fuselage.
